Default Standard Alloys, light weight?

I have a 1999 WRX STI Type-R Version 5

It still has the standard gold STI rims that come on it from new, are these light weight?

I had them off the car and they seem light for 16" alloys

I don't think they are any lighter, standard MY99 alloys just painted gold AFAIK.

That you car though? Very nice!

Yes its mine thanks.

Was thinking of refuring them, and painting them Anthricite, do you think they will look right?

I've always loved the grey and gold....keep them standard if I were you. Or put them away somewhere and buy another set to play about with
