Question Brembo brake pad shims ?

I bought a set of second hand Brembo 4 pots including Ferodo pads, are they supposed to have a 'shim' between the piston and the back surface of the pad ? If so where can i get them from ?

As new, yes they come with shims but they are only to reduce brake noise/squeal and can be safely left out. If you really prefer to get some try Alyn at ASPerformance 0191 4103770.

Personally I think the brake feel is better without.
