Hey guyz,

I noticed today when driving that when i press on the break a kind of knock or click happens. If i break really gently it does not do it but when pressing normally it does?

any ideas??

 

Just have a quick look at the back of the caliper and make sure the pins are still pushed all the way through and are secured at the back. You shouldn't be able to pull them out. Check the retaining spring, the one that sits at the back of the pads and grips the pins both top and bottom (This pushes the pads forward into the caliper and can pop off) While your at it you could also check the caliper bolts behind where they fix to the strut, just for peace of mind.

 

i get the same when braking after reversing
