Black Diamond Performance Discs
Hello all,
I'm looking to buy some Black Diamond discs to accompany the Mintex Extreme pads I still have sitting in my garage. In fact I'm looking to buy the discs in the next 24hours as I have an MOT coming up.
Now has anyone had experience of them? And which do I go for? Grooved, drilled or combination?
They'll be on a Bugeye JDM STI with Brembos if that helps.
Also, as it's a pad and disc change are those braided brake lines actually worth it?
Any replies appreciated,
Thanks.

Hi, i can't speak for the black diamond disc however i'd be interested to hear from people who have used them as i'm seriously thinking about putting them on the Type-R.
As far as the braided lines are concerned then i'd say definitely go for them, you will notice the difference. From my understanding when the normal hoses get a little old they expand when you apply the brakes which obviously loses pressure or requires more braking. The braided lines i think are covered in a mesh which stops this from happening.
I'm sure i'll get corrected here but thats how i think they work

i used them b4 on a couple of 200-300bhp bmws and they are gr8 in my eyes especially for the price, i rate them better than the ebc discs and redstuff on my subaru classic
i have tried groove and drill n grooved and the braking is slightly different
