What Brake Fluid??
Chaps,
Done a search and not really getting the answers I need so thought I would pose the question instead.
About to fit a CDF brake stopper and Goodridge hoses on my MY99 classic (already have DS2500 front pads) and need to know:
1) The best fluid to use as I plan to replace the stuff that subaru put in at the last service (assume dot 5.1)
2) The volume of fluid to buy
3) If it is worth replacing the seals etc in the calipers (4 pots), if they are not leaking, as I have have the system open and need to bleed them anyway?
Thanks for the advice in anticipation

no reason to change any seals unless you are having problems..............
Subaru (as most garages will only use a std Dot4 fluid) normally
you wil normally need 1ltr-1.5ltr.............
personally use Motul Dot5.1 as being one of the best of this type of fluid for most road cars and either Millers 300+ or Motul RBF600 for harder track type use..........

Thanks for the reply, I will sort out some fluid and get the job done.
I have not had leaks so will prob not fix what is not broken, just had poor brakes for a while, really shown up but the increase to 350bhp!
Thanks again!
