Hi,

I'm preparing to recondition the rear brakes in my wife's '99 Legacy (drum brakes in the rear, obviously).

Nowhere can I find a self adjuster repair kit. Does anyone know where I could get one? If you have a specific part # I would be eternally grateful!

Finally gave up and ordered through the dealer--no kit, but you can get the star wheel and lever at least. Total cost for rear wheels=$64.33.

Hard to believe they can charge that much with a straight face. Total cost of quality NAPA self adjuster kits for my truck, which includes more hardware, was $31. I don't mind a little markup from the Subaru "stealer" but over 100% is kind of ridiculous.

I wonder why the aftermarket doesn't supply this? They have everything else for Subaru drum brakes...
