Default Urgent brake help please

Firstly a quick history. Selling dealer replaced discs & pads 1 month ago, brakes started squealing a couple of weeks ago. Last week I took the car to a garage & they re-faced the pads & de-glazed the discs.

I have done 40 miles since then and the squeaking is returning.

1) I am no spring chicken & have owned a few cars in my time so I know how to bed in new brakes & never had a problem before.

2) All my driving is in London at the moment so lots of start / stop.

I have made sure I have not braked heavily as the garage said (this I knew anyway). I don't know what pads went in but I can guess the cheapest the dealer could find (although the garage said there was no problem with what the dealer put in).

Questions: Can light braking cause the discs to glaze as well as hard braking? I have been braking to a stop slowly, so long light pressure used.

Should I bite the bullet & put some better pads on and try to get my money back from the dealer?

Could there be any other reason they are squealing? Garage checked all the brakes and reported no problems other than glazing.

Thanks for your collective help.

Guy

you can be too light when bedding new pads, this is probably the geatest cause of glazing..........
