Hi Lads ive just got a set of sti wheels of an my03 sti and im fitting them on an my04 now the wheels fit on perfectly put there is a bit of play... as in you can rotate the wheel with out rotating the hub.. THe play is only 2-3mm but didnt think it was normal.. Now obviously the wheel nuts have a taper on them that will take up the play when they are put on so there shouldnt be a problem.. But is this is normal because if its not then ill have to see what is actually causing the problem

If it weren't there, the wheels would be a complete git to slide over the wheelstuds.

That's why you have the taper, to centre the wheel and keep it tight.
