Clicking brakes
My car is 94 WRX with front brembo red caliper conversion after bleeding them as they were pulling to one side under breaking they are clicking seems to be coming from calipers????
Also pedal is still quite spongy and even after bleeding three time can still push it all the way in as its always been!! Anyway just want to see if anyone can shed some light on clicking noise and spongy pedal, oh and its an abs model.

Still getting pulled to one side? Felt alot of air coming out after bleeding passenger side front caliper, have bled all brakes but am now wondering if i should change servo and cylinder and maybe abs?
Tried yesterday but one of the pipes was hard on and i was rounding retaining nut any suggestions how to get off? or anything else to try??

Hi
Its rare for me to see the Brembo calipers with sticky pistons as they do have a very good dust seal on them , do you have the calipers fitted the right way , you can fit the calipers on either side of the car , but they need to be fitted with the bleed nipples at the top of the calipers , if not you will never get the air out of them.
If the master cylinder needed changing , you could pump up the pedal to get it firm , but if you hold the pedal down it would then sink down as it wouldn't hold the pressure.
Another thing you could look at is making sure the pads are free to move in the calipers , if they cannot move due to muck or dust then that can cause problems.
Have you only just fitted them or have they been on a while

hi mate they are about 6 months old fitted correct, think the master cylinder is to blame but can't undo pipe that comes off an from it and goes to abs pump. Think i will have to get another pipe and cut this one off? as retaining nut is getting rounded and bruit force and swearing isn't helping, just want a nice firm pedal and all brakes to brake with same force

You mention the servo .. and can easily test its operation by pumping the brakes with the engine off, then press and hold the brake pedal on and then start the car ... the pedal should sink a good inch if the servo is working ok (but not to the floor )
I assume you have followed the correct bleed procedure and bled the corners of the car in order ... otherwise it will be impossible to get all the air out.
Braided hoses will also firm up the pedal (after you've got the air out of course)
Re the pipe fitting .. try and get a proper pipe spanner as these help prevent rounding.

where you get a pipe spanner from?? All bled proper working from furthest away back. pedal pumps up but after starting sinks to the floor, i thought it was just master cylinder??
