Default GB270 - brembo brakes

It's not been long since I took purchase of my Impreza GB270 Wagon. I've had it for about 2 months now and have noticed that the brakes are ok but only just! I've thought about replacing the originals with brembo's however I don't know if they will fit the 18" wheels, as I've heard problems with wheel sizes with brembo conversion before. Any info would be great!

A nice set of red AP 4pots will look the DB and will match perfectly with the OEM red rears..!

Not cheap, but believe me you will NOT believe the difference. Your GB270 will perform like a GB320 (purely down to the proper stopping ability)..!

BTW 4pot/330x28mm is all you will need for the road (and most tracks). Forget 6,8,10 pots with 600mm disc's, they're not needed, weight a ton and in most cases not as good..!

See "View My Scoob"

To see how they look with 18's..

The Brembos are a good step up from the standard 4 pots. I've just put some Ferodo DS2500's on provided by Alyn at AS Performance and these pads I would say are around twice as good as the standard Brembo pad. Nevertheless, the Brembos aren't exactly awesome for stopping power although they do inspire more confidence than the standard caliper. If you can stretch to it and as you already have 18's, I would go for AP 6 pots or 4 pots as mentioned - though the 6 pots don't seem to be much dearer than the 4.
