Default Brake upgrade for UK turbo terzo...???

Hi all, I am planning on fitting uprated discs and pads to my R reg turbo terzo. have noticed when looking at parts on the net that subaru changed the brakes several times during the classic shape's production, for e.g the 96-98 cars used different calipers to cars before or after that? (this is my first impreza so not exactly a subaru expert) lol. so could anyone tell me what ones I should be ordering? most sites have the discs etc split into 96-98 and 98-2001 etc and seeing as my car is a 98 i'm not sure which ones are on the terzo.

Any help would be appreciated...cheers, Alan

I'm pretty sure Terzo had the early 2 pot calipers 96-98,
The 98on have 4 pots with SUBARU embossed across the face of the caliper:

If you do have 2 pots the best thing to do is upgrade to the later style 4 pots, they're not fantastic but better than the 2 pots, or you could always fit Brembo's off a Newage STI like i have:

cheers dean. do the Sti calipers go straight on to the car without any modification needed? they will surely be quick expensive...? maybe more than i'm prepared to spend at the moment. would be good though!

Delivery Mileage front and rear Brembo's (calipers, discs and pads) can be had for about £600.
Fronts fit straight on, rears require a fitting kit (brackets for the caliper and oversized handbrake shoes)
A lot of people just fit the fronts and sell the rears on

Try breakers, GradeA, essex subaru etc.

Also try looking for the "Subaru" branded 4-pots, more readily available therefore cheaper. Get the kit from Ian at Godspeed, Welcome To Godspeed Motorsport and have ALMOST Brembo performance for much cheaper.

Trust me, you don't NEED the Brembos unless you do track

Why would you want to do that????? A set of subaru calipers would probably be £150+ then the goodspeed kit is £625 = £775+ for "ALMOST" Brembo performance.

Full set of brembo's front and rear for around £600-£650

I bought my Front Brembo's for £425 (complete, disc's, calipers and pads) a long time ago when prices were higher, with about 5000 miles on them.
Sold my 4-pots for £275 so the upgrade cost me £250.
