Default Tyre isssues....and brakes

Hi all heres one for the teechies amongst you...

I have a set of 8x18 inch wheels for track days with semi slicks on size i think are 20/60/18 think thats right. near as i could get for the narrow ish width on the 18 rim needed.
I have noticed on the rears the inside edge of the tyre is very close to the shock unit where the spring seats in to the shock, if that makes sense.
I know the tyre is possibly slightly to wide, there is no issue with the tyre rubbing on the outside edge of the rear arches.
The wheels are et48 offset aswell.
What do you all think ?? suggest ??
Narrower tyre ?
Change the suspension to coilover?
Spacers ?? rears are the only area that i have an issue with.
Also After a trip to spa at the weekend i have used the new brakes with some good results.I still feel the pedal could be firmer??
The brakes are brembo 6 pots from powerstation !
I have new braided lines new fluid and the brakes are all brand new with decent pads pagid.
I also locked a wheel on some occasions nothing major braking hard... any thoughts what i can do about this ?? non abs type r.
Thanks all for your time.

I should think a this spacer on the rear should be safe, maybe a few mm's...... do you have a bulkhead support bracket?? i made my own, and it did stiffen the pedal.... not sure it gave any better feel, but it stops the bulkhead moving......

Have a good look around the strut area in front of the master cylinder, there are a couple of captive nuts that can be used, aswell as a few existing holes that do nothing.....

The wheel/tyre and strut all move together, even standard tyres are close....

You are unlikely to "bend" the suspension even on track. Get a heavy pal to jump up and down in an open door while you watch the rear suspension move... HTH
