Cool

I am about to buy a MY99 Type R very soon. I am trying to order some aftermarket alloys, either Masitaly VT7's or Oz Superturismo's. However there is confusion with everone concerned about the correct wheel offset for this model (something to do with big calipers). I apologise for this thread being in the wrong forum but I need a swift response. If anyone out there can let me know the exact offset I will be very grateful. I really don't want to use wheel spacers.

Cheers,

Craig.

ET 55 to 48, i think. Catching the wheels with the calipers could be due to wheel design also.

Calipers should be the same as MY99 UK models, if the brakes are still standard.

Craig,

I had the same question about a year ago for my 99T STi 5 Type R. I spoke to Jim @ Cheam Motors (Very helpful), and various other people on the board. Basically I got the Gold P1 wheels that were released in a limited run. (OZ's)

The offset was 52/53. I fitted 215 x 45 x 17 tyres. I've never had any problems with calipers, or rubbing of wheels on arches etc.

Hope this helps.

offset is same as on any other impreza.

problem is with 22B which has an offset of 44-48. Mine is running an offset of 35 with no problems.

Raer brakes are not the same as pointed by craigfin. All sti type rs which do not have abs have two pot rear calipers. But standard wheels are the same so I dont see why standard offset would ever be a problem. Hope this helps.
