Default What offset?

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my wheels on my MY03 sport from the horrid little 15s I got as standard (which do the car no favours) to a lovely set of 17s.

What offset should I look for? I've asked with my previous cars and they've just ended up with arguments, but is there a general concensus on here as to what offset I should be looking at? I'm guessing all blobeyes are the same.

Cheers

You need to clear your brakes, so an STI with Brembos needs a larger offset.

Mine are 44mm offset and 8J rim so fill the arches nicely !

P.S. Most decent suppliers will sort you out.

I think the offset is 55mm on a standard wheel. Its not just the offset you need to think about its the pattern of the wheel spokes too. I have just fitted some new calipers and ended up using Eibach hub centric wheel spacers all round with longer wheel studs.
