Wheel Stud Removal
After spending lots of time looking at wheel/tyre and wheel spacer options to fit over my new StopTech front calipers, I have decided to go for eibach hub centric spacers, all round (to keep the front/rear track in line).
With the kit come new wheels studs - giving me the extra 5mm the spacer will eat up.
Not wanting to remove the hub - i guess the studs will come out with a bit of heat on each stud and a light tap with a mallet? I am planning on doing 20 of them, ie all round. I have seen threads on here suggesting leaving the hub on is ok, for replacing one stud, but if I am doing all 5 on each hub (front and rear) should I really be removing the hub?
At Goodwood I found I needed to re-torque the wheels after each 20 min session, as they had gone out by quite a bit - so probably really need to replace them all anyway to be on the safe side.
Any comments / advice welcome.
Richard.
