Seem to be able to lock front wheels under braking very easily, car slides the last few feet before it hopefully stops. This happens during firm but NOT excessive bracking, sometimes from very moderate speeds (20-30 MPH). Usually happens on bad road sufaces, so could ABS be at work?

Never had these problems with any other ABS equipped car braking from similar speeds, pressure and same road.

Other than this, brakes seem fine (i.e. they stop me under other scenarios without this drama)

I have seen other posts from MY01 owners on this, or so it would seem. Wondering whether anyone has done any further investigation. Have finally had enough and know something is definetly afoot. Will be contacting dealer tomorrow to seek advice
..."but they all do that Sir!!"

Under most conditions I cannot get my wheels to lock up. I suggest you get the ABS checked.

I've had exactly the same. Dealer reassures me it's a common problem. Won't do anything about it, though!
