Grooved and / or drilled?
#1
I'm soon going to be upgrading my disks and pads for my MY00, and would appreciate peoples opinion on whether I should go for,
a) grooved disks only,
b) drilled disks only,
c) combination of grooved and drilled.
I am probably going to change to 294mm Godspeed disks with Mintex pads.
Cheers,
Mark.

Most people seem to agree that drilled discs are weaker coz of the holes drilled in them and are more likely to crack than others. Grooved seem ok and deglaze the pad under hard braking. I've got EBC Turbogroove discs which are grooved and dimpled, as they are dimpled it does not stress the disc like a drilled one would be.
Hope that helps
