Brake squeal - New pads
Hi guys
Changed my front brake pads over the weekend.
Got standard 4 pot calipers and put in EBC red stuff pads.
Changed them no problems and my first go at 4 pots aswell.
Ive done around 100 miles and taking it easy for the first 500 as per the box.
Every now and then i get a really bad squeal from just the front left caliper.
Ive used the standard shims that come off the old pads and gave the cailper a good rub down aswell.
Any clues what i might have done wrong or shall i just hold out and let them bed in a bit more ?
Apart from taking it apart again and sticking in more copper grease im lost.

Changed my rears to red stuff a while back and they squealed like mad just as you stopped.
It took about 800 miles before they bedded in properly and the noise went.

Did you cover the back of the pads with anti rattle spray (or similar) as this helps. You can also file the leading edge off the pads at about 45 degrees and this prevents brake squeel.
