Searching through the archives to find the ultimate trackday pad I have found mention of the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pad quite a lot.

Are these available for STi 4-pots or are these only available for AP/Brembo/etc. calipers? and where can you buy them?

I run standard 4-pots with 296mm x 28mm godspeed 2-part discs, and have previously used Ferodo DS2000 pads on track. These pads lasted well but seemed to get a bit smelly after a while.

In February I'm doing a 40 minute high speed trial, so I really need a dedicated track pad that will stay the distance and not get too warm.

Any Suggestions?

cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave , The Performance Friction Carbon Metalic pads are very good , I use them in my Rally car , These pads leave a film of carbon on the discs so when you go back to 'normal' pads you need to rub them with emery cloth to clean them off , Cheers , Ian
