Tyre Advice - mixing front / rear?
Hello all. Looking for some advice from the cognoscenti...
MY04 WRX Wagon, a mere 10K miles on the clock. Still shod with the original Bridgestone RE050s, all still have plenty of tread, however - I have recently noticed that there is pretty severe scrub on the outside edge of the front left tyre - so there's a toe-in problem there, which I'll have to get sorted.
Though the damaged tyre is still legal, I'd probably like to change it. I'd tend to go for Toyo Proxes rather than more Bridgestones and I'd change the other front tyre at the same time - but since it's 4WD, should I really change all 4? i.e. should I mix front and rear tyres? Or just put new Bridgestones on the front? I think I've seen some posts suggesting you shouldn't mix types between front and rear. TIA for any thoughts...

If you enjoy roundabouts it might not be a tracking problem!
General rule of thumb is change the tyres on the axle at the same time, stick with the same make for all 4

I bought a set of 18's for my classic and they had two different types of tyre on them.
It was horrendous and I assumed it was the 18's.................tried another classic with 18's but all 4 tyres the same and it was a totally different animal.
My advice would be.....stick to one type of tyre all round.
