Default wheel refurbishment

hi,
im going to refurbish my own wheels (project lol)
which is not a problem have had some advice of some one who has done his very succesfully from
tyne tees scoobies.
just 1 thing to clarify if you have a bad kurb is there a filler or other
available to build up again to normal level.

Seriously, if it's deep find a welder, filler is o.k. (?) till you try and change tyres, when it will crumble.

No professional would be insured to use filler in a repair, unless very minor damage....

You should be able to find someone local to provide a repair on the wheel itself prior to your own paint/refurb work.

Just a word of caution. From experience I would say stay away from spray cans and single pack acrylic as it just dulls off and is way too soft a finish.
I did mine using 2k paint and even though its a tough finish, its still chips.

Going have mine powder coated early next year. A place in sheffield has quoted £100 for all 4 wheels. This includes tyre removal/refitting.

I'm thinking of having a set of 17" done. Wherabouts in Sheffield did you get the price from?
