Default Can't get my new disks to fit on the rear!!!

Hey guys

I have just started to fit some 2 pots to the rear of my classic with the help of the godspeed bracket!!

I got the bracket on fine but when i place the caliper over the disk its not central!! After a bit of head scratching i figured out that the disk is not sitting flush onto the hub, what can be causing this? They should be fine as the handbrake drum is the same size. Is it just going to be a case of brute force?!?!

Have you tried wire brushing the hub?

Hi
Have a check to see your discs are not tight against the backplate , if it is touching push and bend them back slightly , give me a ring if your still stuck , 01656 723060

almost certainly the problem will be with the fact you are trying to fit a 290mm disc to a car designed for a 266mm............the lip on the backing plate is probably stopping you pushing the disc home, this needs to be trimmed if you haven't already??

Well had another look and managed to get the diske seated correctly, was a tint peice of rust in the way that i missed!!!! Also needed new spacers for the brackets so after a helpful call to Ian at Godspeed everythings sorted (I hope!!!)
