ive got a wrx and need 4 new tyres, have seen a good deal (i think)on pirrelli p6000, trouble is the speed rating is V not w like i usually get, is this going to cause me trouble? i dont drive like a loon or do track days, just 'normal' driving.

As you can see below V is rated at up to 149mph, I think you need to have tyres on the car that are ratted up to the top speed of the car for MOT reasons so you will be better of with ZR's like most performance tyres will be.

Just get the V rated tyres, If you don't do track days, reach 149mph or as you say "drive like a loon" then 149mph rating will be fine.
