Brake squeal - A Cure.
Discovered it is possible to buy EBC self adhesive anti squeal shim material. OE pads tend to have a thin hard rubberised backing which is less often found on aftermarket pads. I had Pagid Blues squealing like a tortured pig in my rear Brembos. Stuck some of this stuff on the back of the pads and there is only a slight squeak now.
I found a source at Ford Probe/Mazda MX Store UK - Ford Probe, Mazda MX-3, MX-6, 626, Xedos 6 & 323F Spares, Parts, Modifications (also call themselves RocSpeed). Just type in "anti squeal" in their quick search function to find. Cost is £3.99 for a pack of 4 strips.
Many thanks to Pete Collen at AP Racing for suggesting this stuff to me while helping me out with another problem.

I got some of these with my redstuffs back in 2004 and have transferred them to the back of every pad since. They do work really well, better than the pads they came with - but that's another thread....
