Tyre Repair?
Hiya
Well managed to pick up a nail about 1/3rd of the way in from the outside tread block on the inside edge of the RE070. Took it to KF, and to the garage who replaced the tyre who both said it was unrepairable with a patch etc. (Ouch ... they aren't cheap tyres are they! )
Anyway the guy at the garage who replaced it said that it could be sent away by ATS to be 're-vulcanized' for about 40 quid and would then be fine. I've always been wary of repairing tyres anyway given the type of car - what do you think, would this be a good/safe repair?
Would like to if its possible and safe - theres about 6 mill left on the tyre which is a real waste.
Oh yes, and highlight of the trip to KF was being told/asked: "Nice car mate .... is it a diesel?" Ouch.

That is perfectly safe and is always a good repair, although I think that if the speed rating is a z or similar then they cant do it. I would check by phoning ats to save a wasted journey!
