Rear 2pots on a MY96?
Hey there
Its that time again for me to be changing my brake pads and disks!! But this time i thought i may also change the rear brakes. Ive already put 4pot Subaru calipers on the fronts which made a huge difference so i thought id look into putting 2pots in the rears? I found a set off a MY01 which i would like but would these fit on a MY96 with standard 16 inch wheels? I know i 'll need a bracket (godspeed?) and some disks, its just the clearance under the wheels I'm not sure about!
I've decided on Ferodo pads and some braided hoses but what would be the best disks to go for?
Thanks
Wayne

For discs, your best bet is Alyn from As performance (the fella above).
If you want some brackets, I've got a spare set from when I had mine made. PM me if you're interested.

I want to do this soon if anyone has any tips, part numbers or problems involved.
I have a v3 Type R. I've been told to either get the calipers off a v4 or newer type R or any newage WRX.
Does anyone have the part number for the discs and pads or any direct upgrade replacements, as i was going to fit uprated pads anyway.
Cheers
Dill

These look the same as the standard UK 2pot rears and are the same size, 290mm, but have a larger internal drum brake, 190mm from memory.
Again ring Alyn at ASP to see what he can do re: pads and discs
