Front Tyes need replacing - been told have to replace all four ?
I need new tyres on the front, the back are fine, I was told by the garage that they can only replace all 4?
Is this correct?

It's preferable to have all 4 the same, so IMHO if you replace the fronts with the same size/make as the good ones on the rear, you won't have a problem. Tyre places do try it on, sounds like one of the big multiple outlets (ATS/KwikFit etc). A I right? If it is then you can probably cut 20 or 30 a tyre off their prices by letting them know what you can get them for off companies like Black Circles or Micheldever Tyres. Some internet retailers also have deals where you can get them fitted locally for a set fee whereas the multiples try to gouge you if you take other tyres to them and ask them to fit them.

i have a BIG warning sticker on the door just under the tire pressure sticker saying all 4 tires must be the same brand size and thread otherwise there might be damage to the AWD system
