Default HELP NEEDED PLEASE WITH 2 POT REAR CONVERSION ON A CLASSIC.

Can anyone tell me, I have a 1993 WRX Type RA with the rear vented discs and sliding calipers, I am hoping this weekend to do a 2 pot rear conversion.

I have all the kit to do it:
2 pot calipers
mounting brackets
pads
discs 290mm with 190mm handbrake size.

My question is, the rear brakes are from an STI 5 RA and although they will fit, the discs have a 190mm internal handbrake size.

I have read a bit on here about this conversion and it is mentioned that you can only fit the 290mm discs from a uk car with 170mm handbrake size.

Does this go for my car being an import.

I.E STI 5 RA to an WRX RA both imports.

Will I need to get new brake shoes or will my WRX RA have a 190mm handbrake size already!

Basically, little short of me removing my current discs the measuring the handbrake size, does anyone know if mine are 170mm or 190mm.

In hope.

your car has a 170mm handbrake , so get some discs off a 2001 on WRX , these are 290mm discs with a 170mm drum
