Just a quick note to say a big thank you to the guys at ScoobyMania for there swift service in fitting my new AP brakes yesterday. Spoke to them first thing, talked about there limited period deal on AP brakes (get your skates on if want some, offer ends in Jan)... Had the car in there by 12. Was driving my Scoob home 3 hours later with some rather sexy looking new brakes.
Just can't wait to get them fully run in now. Itching to to see just how good these things are...
Thanks again boys...
Oh, nearly forgot, I even got my car washed by Mike and Sean as part of the service before I drove it home so thanks for that too.
Cheers

Simon,
if you are using them with the original AP 6-pot Pagid Pad, you will be impressed. Once you have bedded the disks in and have got used to them, try DS2500 and then you will be REALLY impressed.
They are fabulous brakes, even better with uprated pads.

Hi Matt.
The offer runs to the end of the 2nd WEEK in Jan, (not the 2nd OF Jan).
I have been running a multitude of different "experimental" pads in conjunction with AP Racing over the last year.
I am currently running DS 2500 in my 6 pots but haven't had them on track yet, I'd doubt that they are "better" than the Pagids, though they will be more cost effective.
(Some of the pads I have tested have been outstanding, just need to see how much they can be supplied for now).
Mike.

Answer to your question is, don't really know yet. Haven't done that much driving over Christmas so haven't really got them fully bed in yet. I haven't been brave enough to hit them hard yet for fear of someone running me up the ****.
Should have a better idea in the next day or so, off for a drive out this morning so will give them a bit more heavy foot...
Mr Tuckwood
LOL, my car was filthy, admitted. I had a good excuse though, 70 miles on gritted roads = DBM White car... Still, managed to get it home and keep it looking half decent though.
Matt
I have the P1 17" alloys, thanks to Mr and Mrs T-S, been running the 17's for the last 7 months or so, they looked a bit empty in the middle before the 6-Pots went in, now look the business..
I'm a happy chappy all the same, even though I don't really know just how good they are yet. I am hoping to do some track days in 2002 so I am pretty sure I will stop when I want to. As Mike said, the standard kit has the Pagid pads but will likely invest in DS2500 pads next time round, I think.
Cheers

In the not too distant future, it is likely that the kits will be supplied from AP with DS 2500's. (which are markedly cheaper),
The Pagid's will then be an "upgrade" option.
Chris, come and buy something expensive and I'll wash it afterwards.

Just front end with the AP 6-Pot kit. To do the rears you would have to invest in seperate kit.
I am led to believe that the front to rear brake force ratio is something like 80:20 so probably not really worth the extra expense.
Cheers

The offer is £1300 excl VAT for the 6-Pot kit. Fitting them at ScoobyMania on top of that. Won't say exactly what the fitting cost was but lets say it was extremely competitive and you wouldn't really grumble.
Speak to Mike Tuckwood @ ScoobyMania to get the latest on the offer but it should be running to the end of the second week in January.
I am very pleased with mine and the service received.
Good luck, cheers
