Pagid Black vs DS2500

Pagid Black vs DS2500
I know there are plenty of threads on brake pads on here, but was wondering if anybody has tried both the Pagid Black, and Ferodo DS2500?
After a lot of looking around i've kinda decided it's between the two. I don't go on track, so don't see much point in getting the blues and risking brake noise.
Finally how do you think both of these compare to standard pads?
Cheers
Steve.

very roughly they both offer around 25% imp[rovement over std factory pads
the 2x materials are very similiar within a couple of % and simply choice is down to preference, personally the rs4.2.1 has the edge simply down to a slightly better cold response and flatter friction curve

Pagid Black and DS2500 are very similar AFAIK. I've used DS2500 but not the blacks and these are a very good road pad and a lot better than OE pads. The Pagid Blue gives a fair bit more bite which I like, and one day I will cure my squeaky rear brakes (AP6 pots on front are not noisy).

The pads are awesome. On a recent driver training day + sprint circuit the brakes were doing a massive amount of work, and weren't even close to fading once.

Had both, again from our mate Alyn, got DS2500's in at the mo only to match the rears, dirty compared to the Pagids but a close run thing.
I found my Pagids squeeled more, despite copper slipping them to hell, but think it was due to the discs, replaced them when the new pads were fitted and no squeel.

Richie,
Were your replacement discs OE/like for like or did you get upgraded ones. I'm interested it what changed to eliminate your squeal.
Thanks, diccy.

Got rid of the OEM and got DBA grooved discs, looking at my old pads I think the inside pad was catching on the very inner side of the disc/hub causing the squeel, and boy was it loud.

Thanks Richie, Its just the rears that squeal, I've looked at edge catching and chamfered the pads with no improvement, might have to consider new grooved discs (good excuse anyway).
