Tyre advice
After destorying my tyres at a driver trianing day on sunday I now need 4 new tyres. They were on there last legs anyway.
Just need a bit of advice what are best to go for.
I`ve got a 2003 wrx
They will mostly be used on the road. I`m doing a novice track session in June, so once i`ve done that i may do another track day or 2 so need to keep this in mind.
the only problem is that I really need to get them today.
Cheers in advance for any tips.

You will find a lot of choice on here from various ppl. I run Toyo T1-R on my 03 WRX. A lot go for Goodyear F1. And the Vredestein are also a favourite if you can find them.

I've found that tyres with narrow tread in the direction of travel (ie Goodyear F1s) don't wear too well on track day use as the tread seems to roll over and tear off the edge of the block. I did this to my road 18" F1s but next time I used my old 17" RE040 (a fairly big block tread) and they wore much more evenly. Also go to high tyre pressure for track to help stiffen the tyre wall so it doesn't scrub the edges away. I use 39F/35R (cold) for road and track. I've ordered some Toyo R888 for next track day.
