Pads Change - help needed
Changing pads on my Brembos - between showers - having a nightmare getting new pads in, pushed back pistons as far as they go and the new pads go in fine without the shims - as soon as I put them on I can't get the pads in !
The shims seem to be catching on the very edge of the piston - I've gone around the pistons loads of times pushing them back, and I've took the top off the brake fluid resevoir
Anybody got any thoughts ??
OMP pads if that makes a difference
Thanks

they are probably a generic pad shape as opposed to being specifically for the STi and will be slightly too thick...................
the EVO's use the same pad shape with a 1mm or so thicker pad

Yep - after 2 hours I gave in and left the shims out - it then took 15 mins to change the other side - no squealing yet !
Thanks for the replies
