Default Grrrrr which Wheels!!!!

I have just changed the wheels on my 96 import WRX.

It had 7.5x18" Wolfrace urban racers with a 43mm offset fitted with 215x35x18 tyres. I never had any trouble with these wheels at all, except for the slightly bumpy ride and they looked great apart from being kerbed.

I bought a set of 7x17" KEI force 10's with a 42mm offset, fitted with 215x17" Toyo Paradas as recommended. The wheels looked great but didn't fit properly and hit the arches if I drove over a pebble! The supplier (Larkspeed) very kindly changed them to a set of 7x17" OZ super T's with a 50mm offset, fitted with 215x17" Toyo Paradas. Wheels look great but the damn things still catch my wheel arches when cornering hard!

Is there something wrong with the car!! Someone please help!!

Thought the Super T's wouldn't catch, presuming you're running 215/40/17's.

Possibly the cars lowered

They are 40 profiles and not sure if the car is lowered or not. Any way of checking? I just find it strange that the wider 18's nver caused the problem. Seriously thinking of refurbing the 18's and putting them back on!!

i'm running kei 8;s with no issues what so ever, i'll see if i can dig out the receipt for when the previous owner bought them and if it says the size

i know there 215/40/17's but not sure ont he offset

(runs off and digs out paper work)

mine are 7x17 ET42, and i have no rubbing even round hard bends and mine is lowered on eibachs

mmm, possible issue might be duff suspension, going soft so over compressing
