215/40/18??
Has anyone tried using 215/40/18's instead of the more usual 215/35/18's??
I ask, as I found the 35 profile tyres abit 'harsh' over drains etc...
The above size might be a good comprimise, as they won't be any wider, but will have a slightly higher sidewall, which should smooth out the ride a little.
I want to fit et45 18's to a GC8 car, so can't use my current 225/35/18 tyres I believe, as they will rub.
Views?

What I need to know is, will the extra height in sidewall affect the rubbing issues??
ie 215/40 as opposed to the 215/35 that the majority use.??
The idea of a taller sidewall is appealing for ride/comfort
