Default ALCON Brakes

just fitted a set of Alcon/Prodrive 4 pot calipers yesterday along with 330mm discs and red stuff ceramic pads. What can I say, braking performance on them is absolutely awesome. Best mod made so far.!!

Fills out the wheels perfectly

Had them now for a trouble free four years on both classic and blobeye, great bit of kit, now running with Compbrake Powervane disc & bell with
DS2500's for the last 12 months.

Only problem experienced was a sticking pad (original prodrive supplied) in the caliper which was easly fixed.

Where did you get them? Brand new or second hand? I'd love a set, insanely nice looking brakes.

NickyW... just for future reference (incase I'm ever rich enough to get some), what is the part number for suitable DS2500 pads? I've just fitted some to my standard 4-pots and the performance is great! I'd like to use them whenever possible from now on.

Calipers were 2nd hand but the discs and pads were brand new. Got them from scoobyclinic as they had them in stock on the day I rang so I went to collect them.

great to use is an understatement, not got any problems with squeaks but that I suppose could be down to the pads being used which I wasnt to sure about initially (after reading about them in general) however initial impressions are good with no fade noticed and the bite is very good.

Sometimes its worth paying for the quality though, maybe overkill for my car which is a daily driver (however I am in the process of getting an engine to rebuild which I will probably put in projects) so may be more suited then.
