Default Handling

I've noticed something with my scoob, that I haven't really noticed on any other car I've owned before that whilst not a disaster can be a little disconcerting at times.

While driving along, the car sometimes seems to get pulled either to the left or right, the steering wheels seems to ****** a little (not violently - but enough to notice) then kinda goes loose. Like i say it's not horrendous, but sometimes at speed it can be a little disconcerting.

Now it seems to happen when crossing white lines, or if the road is a little lets say uneven. It's like the car is being tramlined so to speak.

Am I right in thinking this is probably down to the wheel size and tyres. Like i say I've not noticed it before in other cars, for example my Astra Sporthatch has 225/40/R17 wheels, while the scoob has 215/35/R18, never had wheels that big with such low profile boots on before.

Whilst I like the look of the 18's if this is easily curable with a set of 17's say at 215/40/R17 or even 215/45/R17 I might go that way..

Just wondered what some of you guys thought!?..

i too have the same problem... but my mech says it;s because of the tyres and suspension... i am running on yokohama 225/45/17 and Tanabe suspension.. this is because due to the thickness of the tyres with a racing suspension...
