Default 4 pot brakes

I have just fitted 4 pots to my car but am getting a nasty squeel???I have cooper slipped them, any other ideas please???https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/ponder2.gif

Do you have the anti-squeal shims fitted behind the pads? Thin stainless shims that fit over both mounting pins but are cut in half behind the pads so that they only cover half the piston.

Never tried with and without but from their name I reckon they might solve your problem.

Not sure where you'd get them from if your calipers didn't come with them, they don't come with pads as you can reuse them for the life of the car. Main dealer presumably.

Squeeling is usually down to brake dust, did they do it from the start or gradually happen after some use?

If its dust related I always find chamfering the leading edge off the pads (with a file or course sand paper etc) does the trick for me.
