Fronts and rears pads are no problems to change, like any other car

Rear Discs can be a bit of a bitch due to the internal drum brakes for the handbrake, which i found yesterday. Loosening them off to remove the disc (via a star wheel through a small hole) was like trying to perform key hole surgery.

Some little JP man at Subaru deserves a good slap

Jack up, wheel off, lid off fluid res, wire clip off, pins out and spring plate off, push piston back using old pad and some adjustable pliers, lift out old pad, copper slip new pad back and insert along with anti-squeal shim, copper slip pins and insert along with spring clip, refit wire clip, wheel on, jack down. Do other side then put lid back on res. Start up and pump pedal a couple of times to seat the new pads, take for a gentle test to make sure.

Half an hour max

Give the insides of the calipers a god clean out with an old toothbrush while the pads are out to get rid of dust and grit before reassembly.
