Rear brakes MY2000 turbo , best options ???
Hi ,
I have a modded UK MY00 classic impreza turbo which at the moment has the standard rear set up , they are nearly at the end of their lifetime ,
So time to upgrade !!!!!
What are my best options keeping to a sensible budget ???
I have the Prodrive / Alcon upgrade up front which the discs are due for changing so will be looking to match the style of discs all round .
Is there any straight bolt on upgraded rear calipers available ???
Any suggestions appreciated and recommendations for retailers .
Thanks .

Well, your cheapest option is probably to go for some newage 2 pots. I've just fitted some to mine and they're a nice improvement.
Calipers £80-100 (ebay etc)
Discs £50 ish IIRC (A.S performance)
Caliper brackets £50-£100 (I have x2, or Godspeed, or GBs)
Pads etc £30-100
If you shop wisely, you could do the rear brakes for just over £200.

Not much at all. Pretty much a bolt on job.
The newage discs have the same size handbrake drum, so no messing about needed there. But the discs are bigger which is why you need the caliper brackets to space them away from the original hub positions.
Cheap and easy.
