if i get a nail in a tyre-slow puncture, where is the limit outside the centre that can be repaired? is it true the legal limit is 66% of the width of the tyre centre?

They can repair easily all the tread width, except maybe the outer inch or so........ even that 'can' be repaired, but they usually have to be sent away... which is a right pita.....
