Default Rear brake change on MY00

Hi Guys,
Don't often mess around with my car and need your advice. At my last MOT I was advised to change my rear brake pads and discs. I go on a trackday about once a year and do mainly motorway miles. I've got fast road pads on the front.

Questions: Is there a great advantage with grooved discs?
Should I just change the discs like for like?
Will probably get fast road pads, which ones?

I appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Malin

Sounds like standard discs would suffice, i'd match the pads to whatever you've got on the front!
