Question Alloy protection

As above, before fitting new wheels, is there any prep that can be done to help protect the alloys

Could just apply some good wax or get some dedicated wheel products:
Poorboy's Wheel Sealant

Before you apply the PB wheel sealant, polish in some AG SRP then once done
apply the wheel sealant: "According to Steve (Mr Poorboy) the best way to apply/layer is to do one coat then remove residue, apply a second coat immediately, remove residue and then wait 24 hours and apply a third coat and remove residue.

Wait for the product to dry to haze (about 10 minutes) before buffing off."
