Swapping 2 pots for 4 pots.
Apart from the 4 pot calipers and new discs, are any other parts needed for the conversion?
Also is it pretty straight forward to do?
Thanks
RACK

Oh make sure that your wheels fit over 4 pots if you have 15" wheels I think you will have problems.
If your unsure do a search in the brakes section.
Hopefully I will be swapping my 2 pots over this weekend.

You may even have problems with some 16" wheels as well i had to buy some late model impreza alloys as my 16"s scrapped against the calipers.
The feel of 4 pot braking is fantastic compared to the 2 pots uprating the hoses, pads and discs makes them feel much better, i had mine done a few months ago and they inspire more confidence.

They should fit no probs, I've got 18's.
I test drove a uk turbo with the 4 pots on and they are far supior to the 2pots.
If I can get them quick I'll fit them at the weekend and let you all know the results.
Shouldn't take me long as it's just a unbolt the old ones and bolt the new one on.

That's what I was going to do mate. Well either red or black, think red would at a bit of contrast to the car, what do you think?

PS: No 15" wheels of any type fit over the four pots. that includes the spare. If you have a puncture at the front, you need to swap the rear wheel onto the front, then fit the space saver to the rear.
Ask me how I found that one out

Tell me about. My car came with them already fitted, my advice to anybody thinking of getting some is don't bother. To my knowledge they cost around £150 and the build quality is shocking, and they look sh*t.
Guess what is on the wish list!
Also on the list are a set of 4 Pots.

Then as I drove around looking I noticed other peoples calipers I was put off red and bright colours for calipers. Instead I thought a dull colour would be best as they are nothing special, so theirs no reason to draw peoples attention to them.
When my calipers arrivied I open the box to find they are red subaru ones, red it is then

Oh the lights are way down the list. Sounds like I'm at the same stage as RACK, 4 Pots, then some suspension parts. I was a bit of a fool, decided to ignore the brakes in preferance to an ESL chip and some engine mods. In hindsight I should have done the brakes first as I am not seeing the full benefit from the engine mods, its not as safe as it should be at higher speeds, scares me to death at the mo.
Rather than Koni's I was looking at KYB shocks with Eibach springs. I have heard on here that they are a good combination and not too backbreakingly stiff. Also the classic scoob is around 30mm different in ride height between front and back as standard and this is a good chance to level it up. Tidy it up a bit if you know what I mean.
