225/45/17's on a classic?
Hey all,
Will 225/45/17's go on a classic - have them on a set of newage WRX wheels (not STI wheels) - will they fit?

Arches will need rolling and they may even rub on the shock cups aswell. I know because I tried getting 235s on mine.
I got them on in the end, lowered 35mm and can carry 3 people ok but 4 will make it rub quite a lot.

225/45r17's will also change the gearing, slowing the acceleration.
I run 215/40r17 as these were the closest to the original rolling circumferance of the 205/50r16 tyres that were originally on, they are slightly smaller on the circumference so you may get away with 225/40r17 but probably not 225/45r17.
