Default opinions on Brembo GT brake kit

I'm looking to upgrade my front brakes on my 03 WRX and was initially going for KAD 6 pot kit, however, after receiving a crapload of Halfords vouchers (just over a grand!!) I need to get these spent. Unfortunately, the only big brake kits Halfords do are the Brembo GT with 2 piece disks.

It looks like I'm a captive audience, as these are the only things I think I can buy with this amount of vouchers.

Is the GT kit the same as the STI Brembo? (apart from the disks) or do they compare to the AP 4 pot. The Brembo rep seems to the think they're as good as AP, but with a lot of STI owners going from Brembo to AP, I wanted to check

Thanks for your help

Mike

PS Alyn (stockcar) sorry I can't get the KAD kit, but I'm stuck with no options as I don't think Halfords vouchers match pound notes!!

IMHO if you have >£1000 of vouchers to spend at Halfords, as long as you don;t need to add more than £400 cash to it, then it's a no brainer not to bet the Brembo kit. Even if it's not quite as good as the AP equivalent, for a few £££ they'll be infinitely better than the OEM 4 pot setup..

BTW, don;t forget to ask for discount from Halfords, even with vouchers..!

Let us know what happens..

I've got about £1100 and they're giving me disciunt down to £1500, so I'm basically getting the GT kit for £400!! As you say Jasonius, it's basically a no brainer, I just wanted to make sure
