Default AP 6-pots owner question

Hi

I'm trying to choose some alloy's to go with a set of AP 6-pots. I was hoping anyone who has gone this route could list the 17" alloys they purchased to match (I'm worried about fitting). Specifically interested in classics.

Cheers

Hi Normski.

Thanks for your response. I'll have a look at them.

I had hoped the original question would provide a nice list of alloys to investigate, but as that doesn't seem to be the case I'll try a few specific ones. Does anyone know if the KEI "Flight" or the Oz Supperleggra 17" rims fit over AP 6-pots?

Cheers

the 330mm 6pot "formula" kit is designed to fit behind std WRX alloys therefore 'most' alloys would clear.....................

There are 3 sizes of discs and two types of caliper in AP 6 pot kits.

One will fit under 17" rims, one needs 18" and one needs 19". So you need to be specific as to which AP kit you're after.

AP website says 330 mm kit (5570 calipers) is for 8Jx17 raceline wheel. These calipers are smaller than gold brembos, AP publish templates on their website that you can print off, stick to cardboard, and then try in the wheel of your choice. Make sure you print off at the right settings and check dimensions with a ruler to be sure you got it right. I'm using 18" PFF7s and there's plenty of clearance.

Hi

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm specifically interested in 17" wheels, so the only AP kit for that size wheel is the CP5570 kit (as mentioned by D1CCY). While the template idea is a good one it does mean getting off my lazy rearend and heading over to the local alloy shop waving a template around. For this reason (i.e. laziness) my original question asked for anyone who has gone this route to please let me know what worked (the typing vs template energy factor was overwhelming ).

So if you know of any alloys that match the criteria and in particular if the supperleggra 17" and Kei Flight 17" wheels will work, please let me know.

Cheers
