18" wheels on MY98-00

Hi All, Can anyone out there remember or have knowledge of 18"x8" wheels on any MY98-00 scoobs?? Did the guards need flaring to fit the wide wheels in?? I know 18"x7.5 fit nicely, but would like to look at 18x8 for my car.
