Question sti brakes

Can anyone help i,,ve just brought a my03 sti. On the way home from the garage noticed that the brakes were grinding but thought it would go after car was used, grinding did'nt stop so i took it back to the garage for the to look at they say the brakes are fine and it is normal on an sti because of the high metal content in the pads is this right or are they taking the mick any feed back would be helpfull

I found the same when i first swapped from a CTR to a MY 2003 STi PPP, much noiser than the CTr but u get used to it, and like the garage says, it's normal

Default brakes

I have also the same thing with my 02 Sti PPP and was advised that it was due to undertemperature braking too much, ie. too much round town and queing and not enough brake loading to get up to working temp. Do a bit of high speed fast braking to get up to proper working temp and it'll clear.
