Which Pads?
I have a bug eye scooby and jus bought new tarox 40 groove discs for the front and 3g ultimate braking dics for the rear with 20 grooves.
but i'm struggling on pad choice the rear discs are 290mm which apparenjtly is a odd size i'm undecided whether to pay the money for some ds 2500 or mintex or even tarox all round.
any help would be great...

Noticed you're from the North East.
If you want proper stoppers I'd say DS2500 all round.
40 Groove discs maybe a bit harsh on your pads, rears don't really need to be grooved as the majority of braking is up front.
The more surface area on the rears the better I say.

or the lads at http://www.asperformance.com/ for Tarox kits
Most newage cars and older STi's have 290mm rear 2 pot 'SUBARU' calipers and discs so pretty common.
It was the rear 290mm discs on certain versions that were hard to get a hold of, eg STi Type R and 22B due to different rear diff set ups.
