Legal quest? - re pads
I was just about to order some Ferodo DS2500s today when the retailer told me due a an EU Reg. R90 only pads +/-15% of std are legal on the road.
I will have a couple of track sessions a year (don't I don't thrash it too much anyway) so wondered if anyone can comment on a suitable road legal pad for most of the time that can also deal with Gentle-ish track days. I guess the DS performance is one to look at.
General views welcome pls.

Exactly and probably intended to be ignored too. The law is there so they can stop people importing the chinese counterfeit pads made from compressed cardboard. Shouldn't think it was ever intended to use against individual motorists.
The pad suppliers are panicing that they're going to be prosecuted so are covering their ar*es by mentioning it. Tell them it's off road use only and fit whatever you were intending to fit.
I'm sure the DS2500 is a far better pad than one that can meet any poxy EU regulation. So don't compromise on something as important as brakes, just do it.
